When I come to school, I expect to find a community of the younger forward thinking generation. In more respects this is what I find, however, as I walk through the halls of this school I still hear the derogatory words of discrimination, as I sit in the curriculum retinue I still hear injurious words of shabbiness and intolerance and as I listen to the words of my friends, my class mates, my community and even, though I loathe to admit it, some successions from myself I can still hear a brutish prejudice that all of us together moldiness at least recognize, if it is to end.
I would like you all now to engage a moment and think, when was the prevail time you heard person say the words ?that?s so gay?, when was the last time you heard someone call another, most potential straight person gay or fag or poof? Unfortunately, in our society one of the most popular and worst things you could call someone is gay.
Although if you asked anyone in this class, they would most liable(predicate) say, that they don?t mean homosexual when they use the tease, ?you?re so gay?, they don?t hate homosexuals.
even hatred grows out of fear and fear grows out of ignorance, I?m sure most of you would claim you are not ignorant of the fact that being gay is not a bad or wrong thing, but then you must ask yourself, why are you still offended when you?re called gay, and why do you still use it as an insult yourself?Well, I suppose this is as good a time as any for me to come out of the closet. I cant serve up the way I was born. Its just who I am. Ive never announced this to a group publicly,
