As a nurse, I evermore distort to the patient that cancer is not only a aesculapian or physical charge up, but it is also a mental fight. Regardless of any prognosis, one has to be compulsory mentally. I always say to the patients, dont consent cancer beat you, you beat the cancer. I never suppose to take the patients hope away notwithstanding though the low prognosis is evident. However, sometimes I venerate why patients continue with chemotherapy and/or radiation knowing that they put up alone never be cured, but only pull up the enviable. When taking care of a patient with a very poor prognosis, at some point forest of life should be the main focus. The goal for terminally ill patients is providing note of life, holistically. On the other hand, sometimes I get foil with the patient that has a good prognosis, but does not compliments to fight and always thinking negative. We, as nurses, are the doorway for health promotion and quality of care for patients. We are their advocates.
